- how many different versions of Testament’s human backstory are there? one place (GGX+ profile) it’s “stumbles into conspiracy, unwillingly turned into a Gear”, somewhere else (not sure where originally, but it’s stated on his article on the GG wikia) it states that he was offered the chance by the PWAB and took it
-going with the latter: there’s at least one, maybe two examples of completely unwilling, forced Gear conversion already (Sol, Justice/Aria) and it makes the PWAB even fucking creepier to take advantage of his mental state to get him to agree rather then just forcing him
- body language: vain, yeah, attractive and knows it (one of my friends called his winpose the “I’m too sexy for this fight” pose) but also given some of his ending pictures and how he sits when he’s by himself and his isolation, “remembering to sit properly in your high-slit skirt when around other people” is not necessarily high on “things Testament remembers to do or thinks about”. going to give people the wrong idea? probability is almost certain.
- enjoys reading but doesn't especially often get the chance as he doesn't particularly have access to very many books. Owns one book that he has read so much that it is practically fallen to pieces.
- Cooking-wise, is pretty bad at using a stove or oven or things like that. However, if you need someone who can make something decent out of limited ingredients with very rudimentary conditions to cook? Testament had to feed both Dizzy and himself in the Grove and while there was a village nearby, staying in the Grove with somewhat limited trips out was probably the thing given "trying to avoid attention and bounty hunters". Skimp on himself, sure, but on Dizzy? No way.
- knows entirely too many recipes for potatoes. Entirely. It's not all he eats by a long shot but he does rather like them.
- Succubus characterization notes: There is no given personality for his succubus in the game or in the drama CDs, so this is all headcanon. Just to contrast Testament's general attitude, I generally will characterize her as being far friendlier than her master especially given what kind of demon she is, though if Testament is in enough of a mood it will bleed back over to her through their contract link. Also will try to "help" her master by crow-squawking at him things "useful" like "how to flirt with people" and other related things that he'd just :| at forever. Pretty loyal to him: it's not ever said in canon how long they've been contracted or the mechanics of the contract other than that it's implied in one line in arcade mode (win quote vs. A.B.A.) that Testament has blood contracts, though I'm assuming they've been contracted a while. They work together well, too.
- Intellectually curious: his GGX profile states that "his curiosity knows no bounds". This really hasn't been shown on screen much, but combined with his hobby being "thinking", well...
- If you give him half a chance, he is very much a bookworm. He loves books, but never really had much of a chance to do that much reading: no time or opportunity
- he had green eyes before he was converted into a Gear.
- Supplementary canon implies that even as a human, his name was Testament (Kliff named him that when he adopted him): I don't particularly like that and for my purposes, he was originally named Tess Undersn (...not that I like Tess either but I'm lazy) and was named Testament by Justice after he was converted into a Gear and joined her.

Sex and Sexuality Headcanon
- Playing him as bisexual (specifically 3 on the Kinsey scale: evenly attracted to both men and women): easier for me, and he has no canon indications either way.
-Definitely was a virgin upon coming to Ariel: as a human, was both too busy dealing with the violence phobia + war + wanting to get stronger and make father proud to even think about having sex plus likely as a member of the Holy Order had all the Catholic hangups. Then got turned into a genocidal weapon and spent decades trying to help kill everything. Has likely discarded those hangups given his current...attire, but is entirely too single-minded and living in the middle of a forest in which he kicks out everyone who comes in: the idea of “getting laid” had probably never ever ever crossed his mind.
- also playing him as submissive: partly because I can’t play dominant characters to save my life, partly because he is so damn single-minded that he needs someone to push him out of it (why, yes, I’d like to play with headspace things).
- draws very sharp boundaries: will not tolerate anyone trying to push when he's already said no/the equivalent of no in hopes that he will bend. He's had his agency removed from him in the past - both in being taken advantage of while severely depressed by the PWAB and then the decades he spent under Justice's influence/mind control - and this carries over into things.
- that being said, giving up control on his own terms? yes please. with the right person someday (emphasis on "someday"), negotiation would probably be one of his kinks.
- while he obviously isn't as insanely territorial over the apartment he was given as he is of the Grove, Testament still isn't going to bring anyone back with him unless he really likes them. His space is for him and for creating a peaceful place away from the outside world: he'd rather go to a partner's place or get a room somewhere neutral than bring anyone home with him. Unless something really hilarious happens.
- if he has his hands free, you should probably expect to have claw marks in your back after. maybe even bleeding ones.
- Touch-sensitive.
- I probably shouldn't be making jokes about his GGX profile in this section but it does say his curiosity knows no bounds.
- Very quiet. Not very verbal: would tend to express his pleasure in subtle, non-verbal ways.
- Has something of a liking for uncomfortable (on his part) sex: positions that are uncomfortable at first, or the first moments of penetration before adjustment, while it's still uncomfortable or even painful
- Has a weakness for being commanded by a dom with their lips pressed to his ear.
